The Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition costs $899.99 in the US and launches on November 13, 2026. The 25th anniversary collection includes a numbered, translucent OG Green 1TB Xbox Series X console, a matching X25 wireless controller and a digital copy of Halo: Campaign Evolved. It is a collectible version of the existing Series X, not a more powerful new generation of Xbox.
Availability check, October 30, 2026: The US Microsoft Store listing showed the console as out of stock when we checked. Stock, prices and participating retailers can change. Check the listing and authorized retailers in your own region before ordering.

How much is the Xbox Series X 25th anniversary edition?
The Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition has a $899.99 US suggested retail price. Prices vary by market, and a retailer's final price, taxes, shipping and stock may differ. Microsoft's US store showed the standard Series X starting at $749.99 when we checked, but the listing does not establish that the starting configuration is the same as the X25's disc-equipped 1TB model. Compare the exact model and current price before deciding how much extra the anniversary edition costs you.
That price buys the anniversary finish, a numbered console, matching controller and included Halo: Campaign Evolved download alongside Series X hardware. It does not buy an Xbox with a new generation of performance. If the transparent green design is the reason you want one, the premium may make sense as a collector's purchase. If all you want is to play the same games, compare a standard console's current price first.
When does the Xbox Series X25 come out?
Microsoft's announced release date is November 13, 2026. The matching X25 Special Edition wireless controller was also sold separately, with its own October 20 launch date. The standalone controller and the console collection are different products, so check the product title and contents carefully when shopping.
Where can you buy the Xbox 25th anniversary console?
Microsoft opened pre-orders to selected fans first, followed by a wider pre-order opportunity on August 27 in select markets and at participating retailers while supplies lasted. Microsoft initially limited pre-orders to one collection per customer. That announcement does not guarantee that stock remains available now or that there will be a restock.
Start with the official US Microsoft Store page, which showed out of stock on October 30. Check the local Microsoft Store or authorized retailers for your country, and verify that the listing is for the complete console collection rather than the controller. Be cautious with third-party listings priced above MSRP, and check seller, condition, delivery date and return policy before paying.
How to get an Xbox Series X25 restock alert with an AI agent
If your AI assistant can browse retailer pages, run scheduled checks and send notifications, it can help you keep an eye on the X25. Copy this prompt, paste it into your assistant, and adjust the budget, location and frequency.
Stock can disappear between checks, and a retailer may show different availability depending on delivery address or store. No prompt can guarantee you will get a console. If your assistant cannot schedule web checks or deliver notifications, use a retailer's own stock alert where available or check the listings manually. Never enter payment details into an unfamiliar stock-alert service.
What's included with the Xbox Series X25?
The collection includes:
- Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition console: a 1TB Series X with a translucent OG Green design and an individual numbered engraving.
- Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition: a matching translucent controller with details inspired by the original Xbox controller.
- Halo: Campaign Evolved: a full-game digital download included with the console.
Microsoft says the included digital content is delivered directly to the console during setup, without a code, and is attached to the first Microsoft account that redeems it. Sign in with the account intended to own the game and follow the on-screen redemption instructions. The store lists Halo: Campaign Evolved as rated M17+.
What makes the X25 different from a regular Xbox Series X?
The X25's appeal is its design. The translucent green shell takes its cue from the original Xbox, the console has a green illuminated Xbox button and 25th anniversary details, and each unit carries its own numbered engraving. The controller continues the theme with classic ABXY colors and design references to the original controller's black and white buttons. Microsoft describes those details in its collection reveal.
Underneath, it is an Xbox Series X with 1TB of storage, not a Series X Pro. Microsoft lists a 4K UHD Blu-ray drive, 4K gaming and performance up to 120 frames per second; resolution and frame rate depend on the game and display. It plays the Series X library and supported backward-compatible games. Available storage is less than the advertised capacity after system software.

Xbox Series X25 FAQ
Is the Xbox Series X25 more powerful than Xbox Series X?
No. Microsoft describes it as an anniversary edition with Series X power and performance. The differences are its collectible styling, numbering, matching controller and included game. It is not a new performance tier.
Does Xbox Series X25 have a disc drive?
Yes. The Microsoft Store specifications list a 4K UHD Blu-ray drive. Check any separate retailer listing carefully to make sure it is the complete X25 console collection.
Is Halo: Campaign Evolved included?
Yes. Microsoft says every Series X25 Limited Edition console includes a full-game digital download. Its store says the included digital content is claimed during console setup and attached to the first Microsoft account that redeems it.
Can you buy the Xbox X25 controller separately?
Yes. Microsoft announced the Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition as a separate product in select markets. Availability and pricing may differ from the console collection.
Will the Xbox Series X25 be restocked?
We do not have a confirmed restock schedule. It is a limited edition, and the US Microsoft Store showed it out of stock on October 30, 2026. Check official and authorized retailer listings for current availability instead of assuming another batch is coming.
Should you buy the Xbox Series X25?
The X25 is a beautiful piece of Xbox nostalgia with a practical bonus in its included Halo download. But the decision is mostly about how much you value the design and limited-edition presentation. If you already own a Series X and want better performance, this is not the upgrade to wait for. If you are a collector who wants that green shell and numbered console, compare the current price and availability against a standard Series X before committing.
