The best first Quest accessory is the one that fixes your actual problem
For most Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S owners, a more comfortable head strap is the first upgrade worth considering. If the headset already fits well but sessions end too soon, choose a battery solution instead. Controller grips help with active games, while a replacement facial interface is a model-specific purchase. Buy a carrying case only after deciding which strap will live on the headset: compact cases often cannot fit a battery or halo strap.
This guide covers both headsets, but Quest 3 and Quest 3S accessories are not universally interchangeable. Strap makers may support both, while facial interfaces and lens inserts need an exact model match. Check the maker's current compatibility list before ordering.
| What you need | Start here | Quest 3 / 3S fit | Main catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Better fit and longer sessions | Kiwi Design K4 Boost battery strap | Maker lists both | Adds weight; try the fit before keeping it |
| Flexible extra power | Kiwi Design P5000 power bank | Works through USB-C with both | Costs more than a simple fixed battery |
| Firmer controller hold | Kiwi Design G4 Pro grips | Maker lists both | Check hand size and wrist-strap setup |
| Quest 3S face-pad change | Kiwi Design V4 facial interface | Quest 3S only | Do not buy it for Quest 3 |
| Travel with the stock strap | Kiwi Design P4 carrying case | Maker lists both with stock straps | Battery and halo straps may not fit |

Best all-in-one upgrade: a battery head strap
The K4 Boost battery strap is listed by Kiwi Design for both Quest 3 and Quest 3S. It combines a rear adjustment dial, padding, and a battery, so it addresses front-heavy fit and short play sessions with one purchase. It is the practical first pick for someone who plays regularly and wants fewer cables. The tradeoff is extra weight and a less compact headset.
If you prefer a halo-style fit, Kiwi also lists its H4 Boost for Quest 3 and 3S. Duuro's P5000 review describes using the H4 on Quest 3. Fit is personal, so choose the style that distributes pressure comfortably for you rather than assuming that one design works for everyone.
You can compare the headsets' baseline runtime in our Quest 3 and 3S battery guide. A battery strap extends play; it does not remove the need for breaks during active VR.
Best flexible power upgrade: the P5000
Duuro has tested the Kiwi P5000 Compact Power Bank. Its two small batteries can be swapped during play, and our review found roughly two extra hours from one pack under the test conditions described there. It also works as a normal USB-C power bank. That flexibility is the reason to choose it over a battery built into a strap.
The P5000 makes less sense if you want the cheapest possible extension or dislike attaching a battery to the headset. Read the full review for the comfort and value tradeoffs before buying.
Best smaller upgrades: grips and facial interface
The G4 Pro controller grips are listed for Quest 3 and 3S. They are most relevant for rhythm, fitness, or other games where your hands move quickly. Check the product's attachment method, knuckle-strap fit, and access to the controller battery compartment before buying.
For face contact, pick by headset model, not just by color or price. Kiwi lists the V4 ventilated facial interface for Quest 3S, while its V3 interface is for Quest 3. Replace a facial interface if you need a different feel or an easier-to-clean pad; it is not an automatic upgrade for someone already comfortable with the stock one. If you use prescription lens inserts, verify clearance after changing the interface.
Best case: one that fits the finished headset
The P4 carrying case is a compact option for Quest 3 or 3S with the standard strap. Kiwi warns that battery and third-party straps may not fit. That makes case shopping a final step, not a first step. Measure the headset with its chosen strap attached, then check the case's interior dimensions and controller storage. Avoid a case that presses on the lenses, sticks, or charging cable.
Which accessories should you skip for now?
Skip a dock if you are happy charging with a cable, and skip specialty gunstocks or sword attachments until you know which games you play often. A Quest 2 strap, facial interface, controller grip, or lens insert should not be assumed to fit a Quest 3 or 3S. If PC VR is your goal, check your PC and network setup before buying a Link cable; a cable alone does not make an unsupported PC ready for VR.

FAQ
Do Quest 3 accessories fit Quest 3S?
Some do, including the K4 Boost strap and G4 Pro grips listed for both by their maker. Facial interfaces, lens inserts, and fitted cases require closer checking. Use the exact compatibility statement on the current product page.
Is a battery strap or a power bank better?
A battery strap is simpler if you want comfort and power in one piece. A separate power bank is more flexible and easier to reuse. Duuro has tested the P5000; choose based on fit, runtime needs, and the case you plan to use.
Will a Quest 3 or 3S fit in a case with a battery strap?
Do not assume so. The compact P4 case is advertised for the stock strap, and Kiwi says battery and halo straps may not fit. Check the case against your complete headset setup.
