Acclaimed VR strategy RPG starring Kate Mulgrew, Nick Frost and Garrick Hagon offers revamped visuals and new features
Coatsink are pleased to announce that an enhanced version of their acclaimed classic Oculus title, Augmented Empire, is coming to Meta Quest 3 lineup and Meta Quest 2 on November 21st. Experience an acclaimed narrative featuring voice talent including Kate Mulgrew, Nick Frost and Garrick Hagon, a compelling cyberpunk world and fun strategy RPG gameplay, along with updated visuals and new mixed reality features.
Augmented Empire features updated 4K textures on Quest 3 headsets and 2K textures on Quest 2, as well as updated PBR and Dynamic Lighting effects that contribute to a better looking, higher fidelity and more cleanly lit version of the game. The game also features MR room tracking, passthrough and occlusion, MR hand tracking and VR controller support, spatial anchoring, improved combat minigames and achievements, among other improvements.
In Augmented Empire, you step into the divided city of New Savannah in 2058. Playing as the poster-child of civil obedience, you must lead a team of misfits and criminals to survive. From the armchair of your secluded hideout, control your team in ‘augmented reality’ to overthrow the corrupt elite in a game that blends compelling storytelling, stunning visuals and turn-based action.
“We’ve made a ton of improvements to a game that people already loved, so we’re confident people are going to have a lot of fun with Augmented Empire when it releases on November 21st,” said narrative designer Jon Davies. “We’re looking forward to introducing new players to the world of New Savannah and welcoming old players back!”
