Will GTA 6 have crossplay?
Rockstar has not confirmed crossplay for GTA 6. The game launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026, but Rockstar currently describes Grand Theft Auto VI as a single-player experience. Until multiplayer or GTA Online details are announced, PS5-to-Xbox crossplay remains unknown.

Is GTA 6 cross-platform?
GTA 6 is multiplatform because it is coming to both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That does not automatically make it crossplay.
- Multiplatform means the game is sold on more than one platform.
- Crossplay means players on different platforms can join the same multiplayer session.
- Cross-progression means saves, characters, or progress can move between platforms.
Rockstar has confirmed only the first item. Crossplay and cross-progression are separate features and have not been announced.
Can PS5 and Xbox players play GTA 6 together?
There is no official confirmation that PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players will be able to play together. Rockstar's current material focuses on the single-player story of Jason and Lucia and does not describe a cross-platform multiplayer system.
Any page claiming that console crossplay is definitely enabled or disabled is going beyond Rockstar's current announcement. This guide will change when Rockstar publishes a clear multiplayer compatibility statement.
Has GTA 6 Online been announced?
Rockstar's June 2026 preorder announcement calls GTA 6 a single-player experience. The company has not yet provided a detailed GTA 6 Online announcement covering modes, launch timing, player counts, crossplay, or character transfers.
