Nodus Fall is HoYoverse's dark fantasy co-op game

HoYoverse opened the main show with Nodus Fall, a noticeably darker project than Genshin Impact or Honkai: Star Rail. Up to four players become Weavers and battle mythical gods and monsters across a ruined fantasy world. The reveal leaned into large creatures, weighty melee combat and cooperative hunts, but no release date or platforms were confirmed during the show.

Rainbow Six Tactics turns the shooter into a strategy game

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Tactics trades first-person gunfights for turn-based missions. The single-player spin-off puts players in command of familiar Rainbow Six Siege Operators, combining squad planning, positioning and tactical decisions across a global campaign. Ubisoft currently plans to release it in 2027.

Gears of War: E-Day gets a new story trailer

The latest Gears of War: E-Day trailer returned to Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago during the earliest days of the Locust invasion. It introduced Bravo squad and put more emphasis on the prequel's human cost ahead of its October 6, 2026 launch on Xbox and PC.

Ananta launches in January 2027

NetEase's free-to-play urban open-world RPG Ananta showed more combat, vehicles, traversal and city-wide chaos. The most useful detail was a firm global release date: January 15, 2027.

Silent Hill: Townfall reveals its cast

Konami and No Code offered another unsettling look at Silent Hill: Townfall, a first-person entry set in Scotland. The new trailer revealed more of the cast and story before confirming a September 24, 2026 release.

That date is shared with Control Resonant; both are included in our regularly updated new PS5 games in 2026 calendar.

Control Resonant takes the weirdness to Manhattan

Remedy's Control Resonant returned with the Altered State trailer, showing more supernatural combat, distorted physics and a Manhattan overrun by the Hiss. The game is scheduled to launch on September 24, 2026.

Exodus confirms an April 2027 release date

Archetype Entertainment finally dated its science-fiction RPG Exodus for April 7, 2027. The trailer also introduced Salt, a sentient octopus companion who operates a mech suit. It was a strange reveal, but one that gave the Mass Effect-inspired adventure a little more personality.

Afterworld is Paradox's post-apocalyptic strategy game

Paradox officially unveiled Afterworld, a grand strategy game about rebuilding civilization after an apocalypse. Players will lead a tribe of survivors, recover old technology, manage settlements and navigate political conflict in a ruined world. A release window was not announced.

LEGO Skylines makes city-building more playful

LEGO Skylines combines the readable construction of LEGO games with the city-building foundation of Cities: Skylines. The announcement trailer showed roads, services, homes and civic problems rebuilt as a colorful brick-based simulation. It does not yet have a release date.

Path of Exile 2 leaves Early Access in December

Grinding Gear Games confirmed that Path of Exile 2 version 1.0 launches on December 11, 2026. The full release will make the action RPG free-to-play and add swords as a new weapon type.

Heroes of Might and Magic III is getting a full remake

Ubisoft announced Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake, a modern rebuild of the classic turn-based strategy game. The remake will include content from the original release and its two expansions, although Ubisoft did not provide a launch window.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation raises the stakes

The final chapter of Square Enix's remake trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, received a cinematic trailer centered on Meteor and the enormous Weapons threatening the planet. The footage kept story details deliberately vague, but reinforced that the finale is targeting spring 2027.

The Witcher 3 closed the show with two major announcements

CD Projekt Red announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered, a free upgrade for existing owners arriving on September 29, 2026. The update promises improvements to visuals, rendering, movement, combat and animation. Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine will also become free for players who own the base game.

The show then ended with the first proper trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past. The paid expansion sends Geralt to a new region with fresh quests, monsters and a chain weapon. It is planned for 2027 and is positioned as one final Witcher 3 adventure before the series moves forward.

If the announcement has you considering another trip across the Continent, our original The Witcher 3 review explains why Geralt's adventure remains one of Duuro's favorite open-world RPGs.
