Guns of Eschaton brings Soulslike survival to an occult American West
Publisher 4Divinity and developer Eschatology Entertainment have announced Guns of Eschaton, a first-person shooter built around Soulslike challenge, resource management, and occult Western imagery. The game is coming to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, though a release date has not been announced.
Set in nineteenth-century America, Guns of Eschaton follows a lone gunslinger through a dying version of the West, where each encounter is meant to push preparation as much as aim. The world is described as the final original universe envisioned by Viktor Antonov, the late art director known for his work on Half-Life 2 and Dishonored.
Combat is built around careful use of bullets, specialized ammunition, parries, dashes, occult abilities, and a Codex system that reveals enemy weaknesses through Sequence Points. Players will also be able to shape their gunslinger with firearms, ammunition types, talismans, armor, consumables, active skills, and passive abilities.
The game can be played solo or in co-op, with progression available across both styles of play.
"From the earliest stages of development, I had the privilege of shaping this world together with Viktor: where ideas, themes, and concepts evolved through his talent into the world players will see today," said Fuad Kuliev, Studio Head at Eschatology Entertainment. "Viktor's imagination and creative legacy have been a constant source of inspiration throughout development, and this game is the result of an incredible collaborative effort from our entire team to bring that vision to life."
Guns of Eschaton is planned for Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox wishlisting. You can find more through the official 4Divinity page: https://www.4divinity.com/gunsofeschaton
