Frequently Asked Questions
Can I play without a VR headset?▼
Yes! On desktop, laptop, or mobile, click or tap anywhere on the playfield to spawn a paper ball, drag to aim your arc, and flick upward to yeet it toward the bin. All wind dynamics, audio, and scoring work identically in desktop mode.
Can I play using bare hands without Touch controllers?▼
Yes! Paper Yeet VR features native Meta Quest Optical Hand Tracking. Simply place your Touch controllers aside and look at your hands. Pinch your index finger and thumb together to instantly spawn a paper ball in your palm, swing your arm, and release the pinch to yeet it into the wastebasket.
How does ocean wind affect the throw?▼
Ocean trade winds shift dynamically every 8–12 seconds in four directions: left, right, updrafts, and coastal downdrafts. Updrafts lift your paper ball floatier with extra forward glide, while downdrafts push it down faster toward the deck floorboards. Watch the desktop weather station anemometer, wind vane, and scoreboard readout to adjust your arc!
What does the robotic vacuum cleaner do?▼
In Medium and Hard modes, the wastebasket is mounted on top of an autonomous robot vacuum rover that cruises across the veranda deck. As the robot vacuum rolls over discarded paper balls on the floor, it vacuums them up with authentic suction sounds and LED pulses, clearing the cabana and awarding bonus cleanup points!
Which VR headsets and browsers are supported?▼
Paper Yeet VR is engineered for Meta Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Quest 2 using the built-in Meta Quest Browser with full support for both 6DOF Touch Plus controllers and optical hand tracking. It is also compatible with Apple Vision Pro and PCVR headsets using WebXR-enabled browsers.
