Pizzapocalypse 2: A Slice of Hope is a 3D platformer about a pizza maker taking on a corporation that sells canned pizza. You use your pizza to attack and get around, bouncing, dashing and swinging through its colorful world. I played the Steam demo on my ROG Xbox Ally X, and I love it.

You know that famous Italian plumber? This guy is an Italian pizza maker, so let’s call him Gario, because that’s exactly how this feels. The pizza works a lot like Cappy in Super Mario Odyssey: throw it at enemies, sure, but also use it as a platforming tool. Moving around feels awesome, and I’m wondering what else I’ll be able to do with it in the full game. It’s the kind of movement that makes me excited to see what’s around the next corner, just because getting there is so much fun. The thing looks cool and funky, too, with a style that fits the ridiculous premise perfectly. And, as if throwing pizza around wasn’t enough, you can ride on a robot frog. A robot frog! This is such a Yeah for me. Give the demo a go, because I cannot wait to play the full version.
