Realm Protector doesn't offer much and you'll probably experience everything in like 30 minutes

Realm Protector is a very simple tower defense game in VR. Monsters spawn into the map and they march along a path towards the end of the level. If they reach it, game over. You, on the other hand, can place towers along the path to kill said monsters and prevent them from reaching the end.

While you can set up the towers and sit and watch as monsters go down, you can be more active and "become" the tower. Yeah, you can take control of any of the towers you've place around the map and kill the monsters yourself.

There are four unique towers in total and you can upgrade them as you play to unlock more powerful attacks. Taking control of these towers will let you cast lightnings from your fingers, or snipe enemies with a magic crossbow. You can also use a cannon to shoot fireballs at them or even play a set of drums to make ice shards fall from the sky.

That's about all Realm Protector has to offer at this moment as it is currently an Early Access game. It's not much and you'll probably experience everything it has to offer in like 30 minutes. Is that worth $6,99? At this time, I don't think it is. Thanks for reading!

The game was reviewed on a Quest 3 using a review copy provided by PR. Realm Protector is out now on Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro.
