Since its inception in 1995, the Tales of series of console fantasy role-playing video games from NAMCO BANDAI has become a revered favourite of fans around the world. With global sales in excess of fifteen million units, the franchise is beloved for its Japanese cultural and anime influences as well as the use of renowned manga artists, illustrators and composers. The series now encompasses over 25 titles in Japan (including flagship and spin-off titles) and numerous other entertainments, manga and animation productions. In the last four years, Tales of Vesperia on Xbox 360, Tales of the Abyss on Nintendo 3DS, Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World on Nintendo Wii and Tales of Graces f on PlayStation 3 have been released in Europe. The much anticipated European launch of the most recent opus in the series, Tales of Xillia, is scheduled for 2013.
Storyline
Tales of Xillia follows Jude Mathis, a clever medical student attending school in the capital city, and Milla Maxwell, a mysterious woman accompanied by four unseen beings. Players will be able to choose either Jude or Milla at the outset of their adventure through the world of Rieze Maxia, where humans and spirits live together in harmony. The kingdom of Rashugal has been experimenting with a powerful source that led to draining the mana from the world. Realizing the harm it is inflicting on the world, Jude and Milla set off on a journey to destroy it and restore the mana back to the world.

- Hyper linked combos – While characters are linked, their cooperative gauge called “Linked Artes Gauge” will fill up. Once the gauge is filled to some extent,,characters can perform special attacks called “Linked Artes” that change variously depending on the arte the controlled character uses. Once the gauge is full, the player can perform Linked Artes combos until the gauge becomes zero.
