PlayStation 5 Reveal Event - Veni.Vedi.Vici

Yesterday was an exciting day for gamers around the world, as the PlayStation 5 showcase granted us our first look at PS5 games under development… and culminated with the reveal of the PS5 systems, one sporting a Blu-ray disc drive and one all-digital.

The reveal event had a really high production value cause you can't be cheap when you unveil The Future of Gaming. And what a bright future that looks to be.

An image showcasing the game described in this article.

It kicked off with Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales — a standalone experience, similar to Uncharted Lost Legacy, featuring the titular Miles Morales. Insomniac also revealed Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart which looked amazing and showed off the PS5's insane SSD speed and ray tracing capabilities.

Then we were treated to a ton of beautiful, creative and interesting collection of Indie games running beautifully on the PS5 console. Little Devil Inside stood out to me as something that should not be missed and I cannot wait to get my hands on it.

Gran Turismo 7 was there, looked amazing. Demon Souls remake was announced and showed off, looked amazing. Resident Evil Village (8) revealed, looked amazing. Then Guerilla showed Horizon 2: Forbidden West and well, it looked groundbreaking.

And to close off what was already an amazing reveal event, they revealed the console and I absolutely adore how futuristic, slick and damn sexy it looks. I will take a spaceship over a fridge anytime. PlayStation came, saw and conquered every gamer's heart. That's how you reveal something that's worth celebrating, The Future of Gaming.

Sidenote, The Last of Us Part 2 review embargo was lifted today and to no one's surprise the game is a masterpiece 10/10. What a week to be a Playstation fan!
