The community of designers over at Dribbble are always happy to release new freebies to the public. It’s such a populated network that it can be frustrating to browse through all the newest shots looking for hidden gems. Thankfully I keep up with all the latest submissions and have put together a wonderful showcase of free downloads.
In the gallery below I’ve published 40 freebies having been released since early Q1 2012. These include full PSD graphics along with background patterns and .png icon sets. Any digital artist or web designer will surely find at least a few handy resources from this collection. Be sure to let us know your favorites in the discussion area below.
Set in a world straight out of a child’s storybook — described by the developers as a “fairytale landscape” designed to inspire a “sense of wonder” — The Unfinished Swan revolves around a young boy named Monroe who one day finds himself immersed in the art he and his mother admire in the real world. By using the analog sticks to move around in a first-person perspective (or the PlayStation Move, should you so desire), players will be able to launch paint balls at their surroundings with their controller’s triggers, turning the boring whitewash you first encounter into something alive and traversable. The paint will coat the walls and floors of labyrinthine corridors and rooms as you work your way further and further into the unknown.
Team17 are proud to announce that the forthcoming release of Worms™ Revolution will feature a class system for the first time. This addition introduces four different classes, Soldier, Scout, Scientist and Heavy, into the game. Players will eventually be able to unlock a total of 16 worms (4 of each class) to choose from to go into their teams, which makes it possible for a player to take any combination of classes into the game. Players will be able to use a team of all four of the same class if they prefer, or mix and match classes to get the best results. After the break find more about the classes.
Although the game is set in 2025, it will start in the 1980s Cold War era in order to focus on the origin story of the primary antagonist of Black Ops II: Raul Menendez, who, in 2025, is provoking a war between China and the USA. In the 1980s section of the game, the player protagonist will be Alex Mason, protagonist of Black Ops. Much of the action in this section will take place in the proxy wars of Central America. Another character from Black Ops, Frank Woods will be returning in Black Ops II and will narrate the story into 2025. In the 2025 section, the player protagonist will be David Mason, son of Alex Mason.
