Combining elements of horror and suspense, these survival horror games were an instant hit with players all over the world. The series has done so well that it has spawned a series of spin-offs and sequels including Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6. There is a team-based multiplayer game set Umbrella Corps due to be released in 2016.
