Rayman Goes 20,000 Lums Under The Sea

Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell invade Rayman’s wardrobe

Today, Ubisoft allows Rayman fans to discover another world of the game Rayman Legends thanks to a new trailer. After the Mariachi Madness video that presented the musical map of the “Fiesta de los Muertos” world, Ubisoft reiterates by unveiling the “20 000 Lums under the Sea” world. As its name indicates, this part of the game takes place under water. In this Ocean world, players face brand new enemies and can manipulate light and dark using gameplay mechanics based on stealth and infiltration.

Rayman Legends will be available on the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and Nintendo Wii U™ on August 29th in EMEA territories (August 30th in the United Kingdom). Fans can already pre-order the game and get exclusive access to funny presents imagined by the Ubisoft Montpellier team, consisting of character special skins based on other Ubisoft popular franchises:

  • For Nintendo Wii U, Barbara is dressed in Aveline De Grandpré, the first legendary female Assassin from Assassin’s Creed III Liberation
  • For PlayStation 3, Rayman is dressed in Edward Kenway, the new hero of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag
  • For Xbox 360, Rayman is dressed in Sam Fisher, the famous spy agent of Splinter Cell Blacklist.

Thus Rayman swaps its purple suit and its red scarf against Ubisoft legendary characters skins, while Barbara abandons its trendy costumes to a pirate one.

Rayman Legends retains the fantasy appeal of its predecessor while adding a multitude of clever and entertaining gaming modes, new characters, new environments and a new soundtrack. The award-winning team of artists, designers and composers from Origins has also returned with an advanced UbiArt engine to include multi-dimension gameplay elements, an improved lighting system and updated game rendering that elevate Rayman’s graphics to the next level.
