Joymax Celebrates Knight Age Open Beta Test With Exclusive In-Game Party

Joymax today celebrated the Knight Age open beta test with an exclusive online “Gangnam Style” party that will take place this weekend and also released an in-depth walk-though for its newest title Knight Age.  The unique riding-action, 3D fantasy MMORPG is currently enjoying a successful open beta test that launched to a global audience on August 28th.  All players are encouraged to take a Knight’s journey and join the action now through the Knight Age Official Website.

Open to all Knight Age residents this weekend, the “Gangnam Style” party is located on the Knight Age Baron Server, the center of Yann Valley Village. Featuring a dance floor located inside a stable, various head-bobbing mounts and party goers attempting the famous “Horse dance”, the party will celebrate the success of Joymax’s new unique riding-action, 3D fantasy MMORPG. The party will take place on Friday August 31st and Saturday 1st at Aug. 19:000 – 20:00 GST (00:00~01:00 Joymax Standard Time). All patrons of this exclusive dance party will be given complimentary free food and a ride home with a free special mount.

Follow a knight’s journey with an in-depth preview from level 1 through 9:

In the Beginning — Knight Age begins with a choice of four primary roles for players to choose from: Knight, Mage, Archer and Warrior.  However, it is possible to choose to train both abilities within each of those classes and the classes themselves.  After the selection is made, players embark on level 1 and the game begins with a basic tutorial through the guidance of the town elder.  After saving the poisoned little girl from in-coming monsters, the town elder explains the tale of a malicious god bringing disaster upon the lands, and it is up to the player to save the village and its grief-stricken people!

But it’s dangerous to go alone!  Players will take their trusty battle companions, Pupa.  Pets, known as Pupa, will mold their strengths depending on how players nurture them.  The village elder will teach players how to raise a Pupa from egg to its hatched state, and though there are various Pupae to collect, all knights will begin with one.  Soon after your loyal companion arrives, players are sent to the nearest capital to begin their adventure!

By the time players reach the capital, level 2 begins.  For quests, player can click on the task in question on the quest log and the game will auto-path your character to the right location.  Players will continue to auto-travel even while tabbed out of the game.  Any point on the map can also be clicked to create an automatic route — a great way to travel across large maps.

After honing their skills with a faithful Pupa by their side, players will reach level 5 and be introduced to their first mount!  This is Knight Age’s prime feature … mounted combat battle!  Unlike typical MMORPGs, where mounts used for means of transportation, battles in Knight Age are mainly originated with mounts.  Mounts can also be raised and strengthened with skills to befit a player’s taste. With both a Pupa and a mount, the true Knight Age experience begins!

Following a slew of quests from saving a town to battling menacing monsters, the first dungeon quest will be unlocked around level 9.  Each dungeon has a varied difficulty level and can be appropriate for one, three, or five players depending on the challenge level chosen.  Many dungeons include not only enemies, but also puzzles including dodging sheets of lighting!  The game also features a “looking for group” system where players can quickly gather together similar leveled allies to conquer the more challenging game sections.

This is the best time to join the game with 11 different events in store.  There will be prizes and events for everything; from simply registering in the game to battling for the legendary Excalibur!  The Open Beta Test will even feature grand off-line prizes including a brand new laptop and iTunes gift cards!
