Insurgency: Major Update Incoming

Insurgency, my personal go-to on the competitive online shooter front as of these last couple months, is finally getting its first major update in the form of 'Molotov Spring'.

All I can say is, “fantastic”. Dropping in the next few days, the update brings with it two new maps, new games modes, and improvements to the co-op mode in the form of ai tweaks and level design that better keep the player in the action and to better support squad play. There are a number of other additions to the game to be found in the update, but the developer/publisher, New World Interactive, is keeping them under wraps for the time being.

We here at Duuro truly enjoyed the game (click here for the review) and are happy to see it only improving over time. The game can be had on for $9.99 at the moment due to a sale and comes highly recommended. It is one of the better competitive online releases in a long while and certainly competes with the big dogs of the industry at the moment. If you haven't already tried the game perhaps now, with the release of 'Molotov Spring' incoming, would be a good time to do so.

More information on the upcoming patch release can be had over on their official Steam page. Be sure to check it out.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: The Original and The Sequel

# When The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing released last year, I felt it a breath of fresh air for the hack n' slash genre. It shy'd away from the dreary, overtly oppressive mood that has, for the most part, been representative of the genre since Diablo, for all intents and purposes, made it for what it is today. It instead comfortably set itself between the dreariness that you would normally see in a Diablo, and the cartoonish nature of, say, Torchlight and did so in the way that it presented the world and its characters.

Shadowrun: Dragonfall Review

# This expansion proves that Harebrained Schemes knows what they are doing, know what the players want and are only getting better over time. All things said and done, last year's crowd-funded return to the cyber-punk classic, Shadowrun Returns, was an important release indeed for us here at Duuro.
