Since the game is still pretty much in development, when asked about the release date the guys behind Dead Island 2 said only "Spring 2015". But today as I was navigating through PSN in order to extend my PS Plus subscription, I saw that Dead Island 2 was available to pre-order as a bundle of sorts. And lo and behold, the release date was there. So if PSN is correct and this is not just a placeholder date, Dead Island 2 will release on 01.04.2015 or on April 1st 2015.
Dead Island 2 is an upcoming action role-playing, survival horror video game developed by German developer Yager Development and published by Deep Silver for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
From what was seen at the Gamescom 2014 Demo, Dead Island 2 features a new massive world. The game currently take place in California, unlike the first game which took on a fictional island. The game combat is severely different than the first game and Riptide, being way more brutal. Dead Island 2 also features several features from his predecessor, such as the Rage system, which gives the player a temporary boost, or the weapon combining system. The game also features more deadlier, but fragile, zombies than usual.
