Chipolo Launches Chipolo Plus - The world's loudest Bluetooth Tracker

Chipolo, the startup that has sold over 1M smart tags worldwide, has announced the launch of a new iOT tag that makes finding lost items – including phones on silent – easier. Chipolo Plus is the loudest smart tag on the market, it’s waterproof, available in seven trendy colors and needs no maintenance. It’s available on Chipolo web store from today for $24.99.

The loudest Bluetooth Tracker on the market

Chipolo Plus is combined with the Chipolo mobile app, available on iOS and Android. It can also be accessed from desktop computers and laptops. Chipolo Plus is a tiny, battery-powered tag and can slide or attach on to anything that you don’t want to lose. If an item is hard to find, using the app causes Chipolo Plus to ring, helping users discover the item they have misplaced. If it is the phone they have lost, you can simply double press your Chipolo Plus tag to make your phone ring, even if it’s on silent.

“At Chipolo we believe that everything in the world should have the power of smart location, so that’s why we are creating the world's largest lost and found community,” says CEO and founder Primoz Zelensek. “Our product is louder than market rivals, and is also available in seven colors and boasts a range of 200 feet and goes unlimited with our worldwide crowd finding community. Finding things has never been easier.”

The new Chipolo Plus has a non-replaceable battery that lasts 12 months. After that time, users will receive an in-app notification and email that offers to replace the Chipolo with a new one for 50% ($12) of the original price. The startup will also arrange the pickup of the old device and the shipping of the new one. The Chipolo Plus is louder than the Chipolo Classic and is available in seven colors, three of which are exclusive to online sales. Additionally, Chipolo Plus is also waterproof.

Losing things is a big problem

Every day, people spend an average of ten minutes hunting for items they have lost or misplaced. This means that they waste roughly 60 hours - almost three days - each year needlessly searching for items in their offices or homes. It is no surprise then that the market potential for devices like this is $10bn by 2017 as busy people hope to save time looking for their possessions.

"When small items like phones, wallets, and keys get lost, it’s super annoying and frustrating for everyone involved,” Zelensek continues. “Chipolo Plus will save people time each day, week and year by helping them to track down their misplaced items quicker than before.”
