Assassin’s Creed 3 “Special Edition” coming exclusively to GAME

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 3 will be releasing with two different collector’s editions. The “Special Edition” will be headed to exclusively to GAME retailers while the “Freedom Edition” will only be available at GameStop.

The “Special Edition” will include a handful of bonuses, including an extra single-player mission and exclusive weapon. On the other hand, GameStop’s “Freedom Edition” provides a slightly more robust package, with two additional campaign missions, a multiplayer pack and a figurine of the game’s protagonist.

With pre-orders through the roof for AC3, these limited editions are sure to garner the interest of collectors and help maintain a high level of hype leading up to the game’s October release. Assassin’s Creed 3 is undisputedly one of the year’s most highly anticipated titles of 2012, especially among the PlayStation crowd.
